Job Details

  • Assist in developing and coordinating Pet Groomer recruitment, selection, training, and related processes.
  • Assists in overseeing and monitoring pet grooming shop and individual Pet Groomer and Technician performance.
  • Assist in conducting quarterly Grooming Facilities/Safety Reviews.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating grooming services, pricing, and grooming department promotions.
  • Supports with developing, maintaining and directing grooming department facility, equipment, and service standards.
  • Supports in leading and coordinating pet grooming customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Utilizes best practices for continuous improvement of pet grooming department practices, systems, and product use.
  • Works closely with Store Managers, Product Merchants, Marketing and other Wilco staff to maintain efficient, growing and profitable pet grooming centers.
  • Provides support with pet grooming services at multiple locations.
  • Leads and participates in regular and special meetings.
  • Leads special grooming department project management activities as agreed.
  • And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
  • Highly skilled in dog and cat grooming.
  • Knowledge of grooming industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-location business activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • A valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
  • 5 years pet grooming experience.
  • 2 years pet grooming or related department supervision.
  • 2 years multi location services experience.
  • Degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in pet grooming environment.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver pets to 50 pounds.
  • Able and willing to frequently travel to locations in Oregon, Washington, and California.
  • Ability to work in confined areas and around pets.
