Job Details

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans.

Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans

  • Work with hiring managers to develop recruiting plans.
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Develop and oversee recruiting social media initiatives.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Assist in the creation of job descriptions.
  • Post openings in advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position-appropriate venues.
  • Develop, utilize and oversee internet and social media recruitment.
    • Post positions to appropriate sources.
    • Oversee and update, Company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
    • Maintain an understanding of economic, geographic, political, and other pressures that impact recruitment to ensure recruitment strategies are effective.
    • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.

Network Through Industry Contacts, Association Memberships, Trade Groups, and Employees

  • Locate and document where to source ideal candidates.
  • Aid public relations in establishing a recognizable employer of a choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
  • Create contacts within the industry.
  • Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings.
  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.

Coordinate and Implement Recruiting Initiatives

  • Coordinate college recruiting initiatives.
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
  • Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting.
  • Deliver presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
  • Coordinate community recruiting initiatives within communities to include rodeos, parades, fairs, etc.

Interview and Selection Process

  • Ensure the Company’s competency-based interview and selection process is understood by all interviewers.
  • Manage the interview and selection process.
  • Deliver training sessions to interviewers, ensuring comprehension of the established interview and selection process.
  • Manage the Predictive Index assessment program to aid in the selection of administrative candidates. 

Internal Support

  • Meet with hiring managers every week to facilitate a successful recruitment strategy for the open position.
  • Provide recruiting program support and training to incoming managers.
  • Partner with the Human Resources team to ensure processes are aligned with policies and culture initiatives.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to ensure recruiting materials are correctly branded and content appropriately describes the organization and culture.

Administrative Duties and Record Keeping

  • Manage the use of external recruiters and placement agencies.
  • Create new and modified recruitment SOPs for internal and company-wide use.
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews.
  • Oversee background screening and drug screening programs.
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS/ATS).
  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.

Develop, maintain, and distribute reports

  • Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters.
  • Create and modify SOPs for HR and company-wide use.
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees.
  • Assist in preparing and sending offer packages.
  • Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.
  • Experience with recruiting, technical recruiting a plus.
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working in a competency-based recruitment environment.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
  • Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly.
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions.
  • A bachelor’s degree is desired.
  • One to two years of human resources experience required; one to two years of human resources corporate recruiting experience preferred.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
