Job Details

  • Ensure a safe, neat, clean and organized work environment for all associates and visitors.
  • Manage daily inbound merchandise, pre-receiving, receiving and put away.
  • Manage daily warehousing, order pick, pass through, split, distribution and outbound loading.
  • Ensure merchandise processing productivity standards are met.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives to continually improve efficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate inventories. Review inventory and transaction reports, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Participate in and control operating expense within an approved departmental operating budget.
  • Communicate regularly and clearly with senior leaders, merchants and store partners.
  • Report operational performance metrics, monthly.
  • Participate in development of annual operating plan and departmental budget.
  • Complete special project work when assigned.
  • And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
  • Knowledge of computer systems operations and associated software.
  • Experience with and understanding of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Skill to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • 3 years recent warehouse management experience in a medium to large distribution center.
  • Development and documentation of best business practices.
  • Project management.
  • College degree or equivalent experience and training in lieu of college degree.
  • Ability to grasp, clutch, pull, push, climb, bend, stretch and kneel.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional team lifting of products weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Able and willing to work frequent early, late and weekend shifts.
  • Indoor/outdoor work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust and noise.
