Job Details

  • Direct and dispatch tractor trailer transportation to meet all Wilco’s needs except Petroleum.
  • Develop plans for efficient manpower and equipment utilization.
  • Hire and develop a professional team of CDL drivers and warehouse personnel.
  • Manage personnel to maximize profitability while continuing to develop a sense of company involvement and belonging.
  • Manage daily operations of the Transportation and Distribution Department
  • Participate in pricing of delivery and transportation.
  • Manage the maintenance of the transport fleet and warehouse.
  • Maintain and be in complete compliance with D.O.T.
  • Determine year-round and seasonal equipment and driver needs.
  • Develop equipment replacement schedules.
  • Develop a preventative maintenance program.
  • Manage a safe department that adheres to all D.O.T., OSHA and other related regulations.
  • And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned
  • Knowledge of management, supervision practices and principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of tractor trailer trucks and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Laws (Oregon & Washington) pertaining to trucking and hazardous material distribution.
  • A current Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a hazardous materials endorsement.
  • Knowledge of computer systems operations and associated software.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Five years of experience with trucking in AG related industry.
  • Three years supervisory management experience.
  • College degree in Business or related field.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
