Job Details

  • Develops and refines annual and longer-term energy department strategies, business plans, sales plans and budgets.
  • Effectively leads Wilco energy business unit to accomplish strategic and financial goals.
  • Positions products, determines vendors and facilitates supply & equipment agreements for Wilco Energy.
  • Surveys the market and establishes, maintains and enhances pricing, marketing, product and service programs to maximize business success.
  • Leads energy department personnel to accomplish planned operational excellence, continuous improvement and growth, while embracing company values, cultural norms and engagement standards.
  • Effectively communicates and coordinates energy strategies, and activities.
  • Develops and maintains compliance of safety and risk policy, strategies, and activities.
  • Manage the propane, refined fuels, and lubricants categories as one department.
  • Foster strong customer relationships and serve as a key point of contact for customers.
  • Provide customer service support as necessary and respond to customer inquiries and problems in a timely manner.
  • Monitors and is involved with industry trends and markets.
  • Identify business opportunities in the marketplace and implement with the coordination of the CEO.
  • Is actively involved and represents Wilco Energy at state and regional industry organizations and events.
  • Participate in company, industry, and community activities which serve to enhance the company’s image.
  • Contributes to credit evaluation and collection as requested.
  • Participates in service on-call rotation as is practical.

And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.

  • Proven track record of successful team leadership.
  • Requires solid management/leadership background in profit and loss management, safety and DOT compliance, personnel management, employee training and development, and logistics and supply chain.
  • Ability to communicate both in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Exception math aptitude and skills.
  • Skill to operate computers and thorough functionality of Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, PP and Outlook.
  • Minimum 10 years energy sales and distribution management experience.
  • Experience with gas, diesel, lubricant and propane businesses.
  • Experience managing margins of refined fuels or propane.
  • Degree in business or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • No special requirements.
  • Normal office & field conditions.
