Job Details

  • Accurately and timely prepare bi-weekly payroll checks.
  • Process payroll change forms, separations, and manual checks approved by management.
  • Distribute payroll reports to management.
  • Prepare reports for Accounting Dept to be entered into the general ledger.
  • Responsible for maintaining payroll files, scanning, and filing employee documents as needed into HRIS system.
  • Administration of garnishments and child support.
  • Work closely with the HR Generalist regarding payroll deductions such as insurance, 401K, 125C, etc.
  • Administer PTO hours earned and taken.
  • Process employment verifications, answer employee questions, and maintain employee files as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and professional work area.
  • Continuously scrutinizes processes for improvement opportunities; documents and updates all formal payroll processes.
  • And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
  • Knowledge of Wilco employee policy manual relating to wages and benefits.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other automated office machines.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Good understanding of Federal and State wage and hour laws including Oregon, Washington, California, and all states where employees reside.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years experience with computerized payroll systems.
  • No special conditions.
