Job Details

  • Control, update and document inventory activity including negative on hands, cycle counts and regular store adjustments.
  • Research all count adjustments thoroughly using established standards before finalizing.
  • Perform Cycle Counts using the established calendar and timeline.
  • Research and work daily Negative On Hand report, maintaining an average below 15 items.
  • Complete the Daily Returns Audit to physically account for all merchandise returned at Point of Sale.
  • Scan the Outs weekly on your store’s scheduled day. Complete associated count adjustments within the established timeframe.
  • Correctly check-in and receive True Value freight.
  • Download, print and distribute weekly Price Change Labels.
  • Run, update, review and act on system reports as assigned.
  • Correctly check-in and receive merchandise, complying with established standards as assigned.
  • Pull and prepare outgoing store transfers. Check-in and complete incoming store transfers as assigned.
  • Properly process defectives and vendor returns / adjustments as assigned.
  • Effectively respond and interact with back office and merchandise office as required.
  • Participate in ordering and/or special order handling as assigned.
  • Participate in E-Commerce activities.
  • Attend regular and special meetings as requested.

And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.

  • Skill at product recognition.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Skill to operate a computer and other automated office machines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to qualify as forklift operator.
  • Problem solving and communication skills.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 2 years relevant shipping/receiving or inventory control experience.
  • Regular bag lifting.
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive bending.
  • Warehouse environment with occasional outdoor work.
  • Rural, pet friendly environment.
