Job Details

  • In charge daily functions of the accounts payable team.
  • In charge of identifying and implementing training for the accounts payable team as needed.
  • Monitor accounts payable team for appropriate workloads and adjust as needed.
  • Provide feedback to accounts payable team members on their work performance.
  • Act as a first line resource for the accounts payable team to resolve issues or questions.
  • Maintain open communication with Accounting Manager regarding any concerns in the accounts payable department.
  • Help identify and investigate issues that may arise with processing payments or invoices.
  • Analyze accounts, records, reports and similar accounting documents for accuracy. Investigate variances and questionable entries.
  • Process journal entries for month end close and to reconcile accounts in the general ledger.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly tax reports.
  • Acts as a resource for internal customers on resolving general ledger issues (coding, balancing, reports, etc.)
  • Provide assistance to the Accounting Manager and Controller with monthly financial statements, year-end closing and audit, and annual budgeting process.
  • And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as requested by the Accounting Manager and Controller.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems logically.
  • Ability to meet and or exceed designated timelines.
  • Must be organized, methodical, with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High school graduate
  • 2 years or more of experience with general ledger and accounting experience specifically.
  • No special conditions.
