Job Details

  • Plans and executes business application and database upgrades utilizing best practices, test environments, backups, and snapshots to protect business data.
  • Update procedures and documentation for application and database upgrades.
  • Working with senior IT staff to manage project implementation and back-end integrations.
  • Develops custom reports and dashboards specific to job functions to support organization.
  • Provides support for database tools and BI products.
  • Importing and exporting of data as required to synchronize back-end systems.
  • Testing and QA of data related reports and integrations.
  • Host and/or participate in regular check-in meeting with Business System vendors as required.
  • Provisioning new users, providing system training and customization
  • Maintaining control of access rights, security settings, and user privileges
  • Monitoring company data for accuracy that is entered by users and reporting improper usage.
  • Make sure business system applications and modules are kept current.
  • Work with other team members and staff to create specs for new reports and data integrations.
  • Serves as communications liaison within IT and between IT and the business for releases, outages and critical business impacting situations ensuring that communications are timely, accurate and relevant.
  • Continue to expand knowledge and expertise within all key Business Systems and data sources.
  • Provides ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of business applications and database systems, including on call coverage as required.
  • Assists Director of IS with various project tasks as assigned.
  • A 2 year IT Degree or a 4 Year College Degree (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database structures, models, and diagrams.
  • Ability to write simple to complex queries in Microsoft SQL strongly preferred.
  • Must be team oriented and have good customer service/communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and utilize new applications and software systems effectively and efficiently.
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio for System and Database documentation.
  • Knowledge of VmWare basic operations including, stop, start, and snapshot of virtual machines.
  • Previous Help Desk or technical support experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
