Job Details

  • Configure and setup firewalls, routers, switches, vpn’s, wireless controllers, wireless access points, and other network equipment.
  • Design, setup and configure complex routing / switching environments.
  • Design, setup, and configure complex wireless networking that supports secured access.
  • Design, setup, and configure corporate firewalls, and network security systems and components.
  • Maintain the overall health and security of each LAN, and the overall WAN.
  • Recommend, and implement network monitoring tools to help ensure network is running smoothly and securely.
  • Assists in the design of multi-server, multi-segment environments including IP address schemes, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware, network software, and security systems to resolve issues and restore services rapidly.
  • Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in according with established objectives.
  • Recommends and implements firmware and other network operating system upgrades.
  • Utilizes N+1 design philosophies to eliminate single points of failure in network infrastructure whenever practical and financially feasible.
  • Be available for on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Lead and participate on projects as assigned.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft networking services including DHCP and DNS.
  • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP including subnetting, TCP, and UDP.
  • Expert knowledge of network routing and routing protocols.
  • Extensive knowledge of Public DNS/WEB/FTP services.
  • Extensive knowledge of current industry network security practices and techniques.
  • Experience in supporting large multi-location network with over 700 users.
  • Possess 4 year technical degree along with 4 to 6 years’ related experience, or 10+ years of related experience.
  • Possess or obtain Comptia Security+ Certification within 9 months of hire.
  • Additional certifications as require by management.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task in a business environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in team based environments.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
