Job Details

  • Provides guidance and council to executives in the examination and definition of objectives for existing or proposed systems and in the design of improved information systems.
  • Directs the continuing review of present systems and methods and the formulation of new and revised systems and determines appropriate changes to effect improvements.
  • Designs, implements and maintains systems and services that meet customer needs for access, speed, reliability, accuracy, efficiency and integration across the continuum.
  • Contributes expertise and guidance for development of the annual information/telecommunications technology capital budget for the organization with input from finance and senior management.
  • Establishes standards for information/telecommunication system location, type, size, and equipment installation(s) including applicable software.
  • Negotiates all hardware and software contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate. Acts as principal vendor liaison for all system negotiations, implementation, maintenance, and contract renewals.
  • Develops and maintains a highly motivated, technically skilled and customer-oriented service team to support existing and emerging technologies. The team must assist customer users in analyzing their information needs, designing solutions, timely resolution of technical problems and maximizing the organization’s investment in technology.
  • Prepare, administer and manage the operational budgets for the information systems department and telecommunications to ensure that budgeted goals are achieved and cost and quality objectives are met.
  • Keeps abreast of technological changes and innovations in the information and telecommunication systems field.
  • Develops and maintains all operations, disaster and recovery standards for information systems.
  • Develops and ensure enforcement of all policies and procedures for information systems related to operations, hardware, network, technology, security, communications and compliance with government-mandated provisions (i.e. HIPAA).
  • Develops and ensures enforcement of all policies pertaining to distributed operations, data center operations, quality assurance, and internet/intranet.
  • Educates users and management team on information technology.
  • Completes delegated projects.
  • Maintains communication with executive level, operations managers and other departments.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience and experience leading team initiatives.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and manage staff.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and written effectively and professionally with internal & external customers, vendors and co-workers.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize effectively and manage time well.
  • Advanced ability to operate/support windows operating systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Windows Networking, MS Office products.
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting packages, and other general corporate level software.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
  • Professional Certifications preferred (MCSE, CSTE, CCNA).
  • Eight years of prior network support or related experience.
  • Must be willing to flex schedule often to meet organizational needs, and without notice (IT emergencies).
  • Must be willing to travel to remote locations, interstate and intrastate.
