Responsibilities

• Performs general carpentry and repairs to furniture and structures such as cabinets, doors, windows, and counters.
• Performs general repair and maintenance using a variety of tools and materials; assists other employees in these areas.
• Performs painting and finishing of store including but not limited to plastering, refinishing, and stripping.
• Checks and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures, such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks.
• Replacement of light fixtures and light equipment
• Removing and replacing ceiling tile.
• Maintaining and/or replacing doors and door hardware.
• Miscellaneous handyman work requiring the limited use of hand tools.
• Fixture and equipment assembly and installation.
• Performs all other related duties as requested by Director of Construction and Facilities.
• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking, etc.
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting and masonry.
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs to Wilco standards.
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
• Communicate with multiple departments as to general conditions, safety, and health standards as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 year of related general repair experience preferred.
• Must be flexible in hours and days worked.
• Must have basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills.
• Must display very good organization and time management skills.
• Obtain any locally required certification as needed.
• Ongoing technical education is strongly desired.
• Must have good communication skills with both customers and co-workers.

Physical Requirements

• Use hands or fingers to handle, hold or feel objects, tools or controls, talk, see, hear and perform repetitive movements with both hands – 67% – 100%.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 140 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull and twist the majority of the day.
• Required to stand or walk on carpet, tile or concrete, carry, push, lift or pull up to 10 lbs. – 1-33%.
• Knowledge of/and ability to use all general repair tools (both hand and power), read simple drawings and specifications.
• Previous experience/extensive knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Wears protective equipment such as eye and ear protection or respirators when required.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and squat and be able to lift at least a 100 pounds.
• While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is typically not substantially exposed to adverse working conditions.
