Job Details

  • Research and consolidate information on a subject or item to create helpful customer content.
  • Write grammatically correct, helpful, and interesting content that also has SEO in mind.
  • Work with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to help source, edit and create content
  • Gather and publish appropriate multimedia assets to enhance content; including videos, infographics, photographs, etc..
  • Utilize team feedback, seasonal needs, sales data, and customer feedback to maintain prioritization of the content additions and track completion to monitor progress by category.
  • Maintain the established categorization of items and work with internal teams to assure there is an easy-to-navigate online category hierarchy/taxonomy.
  • Administer all content-related needs within Woo Commerce and Back40. Back40 is Wilco’s custom PIM and backend website management system.
  • Contribute website improvement recommendations to enhance the customer experience and ease of our team’s ability to administer the sites.
  • Contribute ideas and new content to help marketing drive traffic and sales to the websites
  • Support the E-Commerce and Marketing Managers relative to all the above functions for the implementation of digital content.
  • And other duties, responsibilities, and/or tasks as assigned.
  • Candidate must be an excellent communicator with writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient MS Office skills are a must and a base understanding of website content systems is preferred.
  • Base understanding of SEO and the need to have quality online content.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to changes in new technologies and digital trends.
  • Understanding of agriculture and the hobbies and lifestyles that Wilco serves is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience that demonstrates a proven track record of quality writing.
  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism or related field a plus.
  • Sitting, manual dexterity (writing, typing, and handling) and operation of automated equipment.
  • Mostly office environment, some off-hours availability for emergency needs.
  • Position is remote eligible if within driving distance of Mt. Angel, Oregon home office.
