Job Details

  • Promote and maintain a safe workplace at all times
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws, rules and regulations at all times
  • Safely load, transport and deliver products to retail, agronomy and end-user customer locations
  • Perform thorough pre and post-trip vehicle/equipment inspections documenting all identified defects
  • Keep assigned and common-use vehicles and equipment clean inside and out
  • Apply defensive driving techniques to ensure excellent on-the-road safety performance
  • Accurately document all daily activities
  • Follow directions as assigned by supervisor and/or transportation dispatch
  • Complete minor repairs as required (replace defective headlight, tail light, turn signal light, marker light, etc.)
  • Other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned
  • Working knowledge of semi-trucks, trailers and associated equipment
  • Basic working knowledge of computer systems operations, associated software and Smart Phone
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Working knowledge of math and weight distribution
  • High school graduate
  • Current Class “A” CDL with doubles and tanker endorsements required
  • Hazardous material endorsements preferred
  • Two years recent experience driving tractor trailer combinations
  • Forklift operation certification with a minimum of three months forklift experience, preferred
  • Ability to sit or stand in one place for extended periods of time
  • Ability to grasp, clutch, pull, push, climb, bend, stretch and kneel
  • Meet DOT physical and medical requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent early, late and weekend shifts
  • Outdoor/indoor environment including exposure to traffic, noise, lime dust, dirt, petroleum product fumes
