Job Details

  • Conduct shoplift surveillance/apprehensions/arrests for targeted high theft stores and actively work ORC cases as needed.
  • Identify and communicate safety, shrink, risks, threats, compliance and any other business- related issues to the stores; work together with Asset Protection Manager and applicable Ops DM, to develop actions to address those issues.
  • Attend regular store meetings to offer support on shrink and safety related topics, as well as compliance opportunities.
  • Identify and communicate any CCTV or product protection device issues to the Asset Protection Manager.
  • Develop and sustain a positive business relationship with local law enforcement.  Act as a liaison and testify in court as needed.
  • Attend local ORC/ASIS conferences, workshops, as needed. And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
  • Assist Director of Store Operations on conducting Shrink/Safety Reviews, internal investigations (gathering evidence and supporting documentation), and casualty case investigations (evidence and supporting documentation) as directed.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers and customers.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
  • Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work weekends, day or evening hours frequently.
  • Current DPSST “unarmed professional” certification (Oregon).
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • High School/GED or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience in loss prevention industry.
  • 75% of time traveling within 200-mile radius in Oregon and Washington.
