- Participate in company financial planning and budget management functions.
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of business units and departments.
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Manage debt service payments with external financial institutions.
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department and staff for general ledger and accounts payable.
- Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax, tax planning, and reporting requirements.
- Manage and direct the fixed asset accounting process.
- Manage the cash flow process.
- Coop patronage and revolve allocations and payments
- Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives.
- Direct and manage internal and external financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Design, monitor, and test internal controls to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Other duties as assigned or requested by the CFO.
