Job Details

  • Installs, supports, and maintain servers, routers, switching, firewalls, and SAN infrastructure.
  • Analyzes system logs and identifies potential issues with computer systems.
  • Plans for responding to service outages, and other infrastructure related problems.
  • Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems.
  • Performs system backups and recovery.
  • Manages overall system security, including adding, removing, or update user account information, resetting passwords, and other security related duties.
  • Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Be available for on-call crash response and repair.
  • Generate internal documentation to support technology in the business.
  • Lead and participate on projects as assigned.
  • Assists Helpdesk with providing application and end user support as needed, reviewing and resolving issues.
  • Assist business units with reporting and data manipulation as required.
  • Required to stay current on technology trends, and how they are relevant in the business environment.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory management.
  • Strong knowledge of networking services (ie. DHCP, DNS).
  • Above average knowledge of public DNS/WEB/FTP services.
  • 3+ years experience administering Microsoft Server 2008 , SQL Server 2005+, Exchange Server 2003+.
  • 3+ years experience administering TCP/IP networks (subnetting, TCP, UDP, QOS, VOIP, routing, and routers).
  • Requires strong problem solving skills, frequently under various sorts of constraints and stress.
  • Required to have strong research skills and be able to use multiple resources to find answers to technical problems quickly.
  • Associate’s degree in a related area with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
