Job Details

  • Lead and manage store personnel in assigned departments including scheduling, training, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating employees.
  • Partner with Store Manager on staff selection and other HR functions.
  • Understand needs of customers and provide and ensure customer service in assigned departments.
  • Order, merchandise, stock, and sign departmental products utilizing established standards.
  • Be informed and provide product information to customers and store team in designated department and further develop department product knowledge.
  • Maintain department orderliness and cleanliness by complying with all established standards.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
  • Recommend and participate with other inter-departmental team members in efforts to improve value of department.
  • Fill in at other departments and cashier positions as needed.
  • Attend regular and special meetings as requested.
  • Open and/or close farm store as assigned.
  • Maintain and comply with all established retail standards.
  • Stock store merchandise as directed.

And other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.

  • Skill to operate computer and other automated office machines.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to obtain specialized training certifications (i.e., Stihl, Benjamin Moore, etc)
  • Two years’ retail department experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Regular bag lifting.
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive bending.
  • Rural, pet friendly environment.
